Hradec Králové Logistics Hiring: What the Verified Record Shows

The verified public record for Hradec Králové's logistics market - the D11 corridor, CTP's Svinary park, Amazon's actual Czech footprint, and the Czech labour, wage and regulatory record a senior logistics mandate there must be built on.

The buyer question

We need to hire senior logistics, supply-chain or operations leadership for an operation on the Hradec Králové corridor - a distribution centre, a 3PL contract, or the warehouse organisation of a manufacturing employer. What does the verified record say about this market, and how should a mandate here be structured?

What the public record shows

Hradec Králové is a city of about 94,000 people and the capital of the Hradec Králové Region, about 95 kilometres east of Prague, forming an agglomeration with Pardubice 19 kilometres to the south. It is connected with Prague by the D11 motorway, which runs along the city's western boundary; the motorway's Hradec Králové-Smiřice and Smiřice-Jaroměř sections were opened on 17 December 2021, so the road now reaches Jaroměř toward Trutnov and the Polish border direction. On rail, the Hradec Králové-Pardubice line sits mid-way through a funded modernisation programme: a roughly CZK 3 billion stage that double-tracked and rebuilt the Pardubice-Rosice nad Labem-Stéblová section was completed in early 2024, and the double-tracking of the remaining Opatovice nad Labem-Hradec Králové section was running at full pace into 2026, with ETCS equipment and speeds of up to 160 km/h as the programme's targets - so the corridor's transport base is being upgraded, not abandoned.

The documented industrial base is regional in scale. CTP operates CTPark Hradec Králové on the eastern edge of the city at Svinary, by the I/11 road: a 3-hectare park with 12,488 m² of built-up area in a CTFlex building, with no further development land listed on the park's own page, which markets the location by its D11 connection and its proximity to Škoda Auto's Kvasiny plant, and names Foxconn, Petrof and Panasonic as nearby investors. In the city itself, the industrial record names the Petrof piano manufacturer, founded in 1864, and the University Hospital as the largest non-industrial employer. This is a real East-Bohemian distribution and manufacturing-logistics location; it is not, on the record, a mega-scale fulfilment cluster.

Amazon's Czech footprint is documented and it is not here. Amazon announced the start of operations at its new robotic distribution centre at Kojetín, in the Olomouc Region, on 19 June 2023 - its second Czech centre after Dobrovíz near Prague - in a four-storey building of nearly 190,000 m² that is to employ up to 2,000 people when fully operational. No Amazon fulfilment centre operates in Hradec Králové, and no comparable mega-facility appears in the regional record.

The labour register the statistics office carries points away from a staffing panic. At the end of December 2024 the region's labour offices registered 13,255 jobseekers against 9,837 vacancies - more people looking for work than open roles - with unemployment at 3.56%, the seventh-lowest of the Czech regions. By the end of December 2025 jobseekers had risen 15.4% year on year to 15,292 and the rate to 4.13%. The demand-side records are steady rather than explosive: Czech e-commerce closed 2024 with turnover of CZK 194 billion, up 5% on the year, and grew a further 6% in 2025.

What is verifiably rising is the wage floor and the skills content of the work. The Czech national average gross monthly wage was CZK 46,165 in 2024, up 7.1% nominally. The statutory minimum wage rose from CZK 18,900 a month in 2024 to 20,800 in 2025 and 22,400 in 2026 (CZK 134.40 an hour) under the government's formula tying it to a share of predicted average wages. Agency staffing is time-limited by law - the Labour Code caps the assignment of the same agency worker to the same user at 12 consecutive months - which structurally pushes peak-scaling operations toward permanent headcount or automation. And automation itself is advancing across European logistics real estate: Prologis research puts the share of modern logistics space incorporating some form of automation at around 30% in 2025, up from 20-25% five years earlier, and forecasts that up to 50% of modern warehouses will incorporate some form of automation by 2035.

What the verified record does not contain

The verified record does not contain a Hradec Králové-region warehouse-stock, absorption, vacancy or rent series; no regional senior-logistics salary bands; no vacancy-to-unemployed ratio for transport and storage; no employer-survey percentage for difficulty of filling positions; and no passive-candidate ratios for supply-chain directors or warehouse-systems specialists. The hiring arithmetic for this market must be argued from structure, not quoted.

What changes in this market

A Hradec Králové logistics mandate is a mandate in a mid-sized, well-connected East-Bohemian corridor whose verified advantages are the D11 to Prague, the Pardubice agglomeration 19 kilometres south, and a manufacturing hinterland that includes Škoda Auto's Kvasiny plant. The competitors for senior logistics talent are the documented regional employers - the park's tenants, the manufacturing-adjacent warehouse operations and the city's industrial names - plus Prague, whose employers a buyer must assume can outbid a regional offer, and the national wage floor, which is set to keep rising faster than general wage growth and compresses operative-heavy payrolls.

The structural logic runs the same way as in far larger logistics markets, only with a thinner margin for error. A region of just over half a million people with a loosening labour register does not produce an abundance of senior supply-chain, WMS-implementation or robotics-maintenance professionals; it produces a small pool per employer. The regulation points the same way: the 12-month agency-assignment limit converts seasonal scaling into a permanent-headcount or automation decision, and each of those decisions creates demand for exactly the managerial and technical roles that are thinnest on the ground. The verified automation trend raises the skills content of warehouse work rather than removing the workforce question.

KiTalent's mandate analysis

  • Screen on verified work against the documented employer base: CTP's Svinary park tenants, the Škoda Auto Kvasiny supply chain, Pardubice-agglomeration distribution operations and the city's industrial employers are on the record, so ask candidates to evidence systems run at comparable scale rather than recite titles.
  • Treat the catchment as the Hradec Králové-Pardubice agglomeration, not the city: the two centres are 19 kilometres apart and share a labour shed, so a senior search that stops at the city boundary excludes part of the documented market.
  • Benchmark compensation from mandates actually run: no public regional salary-band series exists for senior logistics roles here, so anchor offers to the verified national wage record and the statutory minimum-wage trajectory, and test them against the Prague alternative rather than against a premium percentage no survey publishes.
  • Weight the regulatory record: the 12-month agency-assignment limit means peak-scaling operations must plan permanent headcount or automation, so build the brief around the leadership either path requires.
  • Treat market data as scarce: no regional vacancy-duration, salary or passive-candidate series exists for this market, so scope and calibrate the mandate from the verified structural record - and expect senior specialist reach to be earned through direct mapping, the working assumption of every mandate KiTalent runs here.

Where the public record stops

Claims beyond the dated public record are not repeated on this page. The verified record above - the D11 sections opened on 17 December 2021, the rail modernisation programme on the Hradec Králové-Pardubice line, whose Pardubice-Stéblová stage is complete and whose Opatovice-Hradec Králové double-tracking is in construction, CTP's 3-hectare, 12,488 m² park at Svinary with its named nearby investors, Amazon's Dobrovíz and Kojetín centres and their 19 June 2023 opening record, the labour-office registers for end-2024 and end-2025, the minimum-wage series to CZK 22,400 a month in 2026, the 2024 average wage of CZK 46,165, the CZK 194 billion e-commerce turnover year of 2024, and Prologis's automation-share statements - supports the structural argument without invented employment, stock, rent, salary, vacancy or turnover statistics.
